Chris Santos is an American celebrity chef based in New York. Chris Santos is the executive chef and owner of The Stanton Social on New York’s Lower East Side. He is a recurring guest judge on the Food Network show “Chopped” and is developing his own show.

Early life

Chris Santos opened his eyes to this world in which March 26, 1972, in Fall River, Massachusetts, in the United States of America. He is currently 51 years and has an Aries birth sign. She has American nationality and is of Portuguese and Irish descent.

Career

Initially, Chris Santos started working in the kitchen washing pots at a small local restaurant in his hometown of Bristol, Rhode Island, when he was just 13 years old. Eventually, the chef moved him from the sink to the stove, where he began learning to cook as a teenager.

After graduating from Johnson & Wales, he moved to New York City and in 1994 was hired by the iconic Time Café, where he would eventually become executive chef at the age of 23, where he stayed until 1998. In 1999, he passed most of a year traveling around Europe, visiting 14 countries and more than 40 cities, fueling his passion and love for cooking. Santos returned to New York City in 2000.

When he returned to the United States, one of his first jobs in the kitchen was at Boston’s French-inspired Cranebook Restaurant and Tea Room. He worked as a consulting chef for Rue 57 for a short time. Santos, then 29, opened his first restaurant, Wyanoka, in November 2000, as a partner and executive chef.

He became executive chef at the award-winning Latin restaurant Suba in 2003 and the following year in Brooklyn, Mojo in New York. Additionally, this chef was also the co-owner and executive chef of The Mexican Sandwich Company in Brooklyn, New York.

In April 2013, Santos joined forces with Brian Pedone to launch Boxing For All, Inc. Quiet Punch, a home boxing product inspired by Santos’ love of boxing, was later developed by the company.

The chef plans to open Vandal, his third restaurant on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, in January 2016. He is planning two new restaurants for Los Angeles and Las Vegas in 2016.
