He previously played first-class cricket, although he is best known for winning Strictly Come Dancing in 2009 and working as BBC Breakfast’s sports reporter from 2008 to 2012. Hollins hosted the BBC’s consumer rights show Watchdog from 2010 to 2015. Hollins was born in the city of Bromley in South London in a football family. His father, John Hollins, was a professional footballer for Queens Park Rangers, Chelsea, Arsenal and England.
