Chirag Kotwal was born in 2001 (age 22 years; as of 2023) in Bhaderwah, Jammu and Kashmir. He did his schooling from BSF Senior Secondary School, Jammu. He earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJIT) in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He took singing training at Ajivasan Music Academy, Mumbai.

In 2015, she participated as a contestant in Max i-Genius Young Singing Stars Season II held at Hotel Taj Vivanta, Mumbai. He was selected second in the show and later, he got the opportunity to sign a contract with Universal Music Group.
