Cher remembers her last visits to Tina Turner before her death and reveals the last gift she received from the music legend

Cher opens up about her lifelong friendship with Tina Turner and some of their last conversations together.

The Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll passed away on May 24 at the age of 83, leaving behind a legacy that truly changed the music industry.

He maintained a friendship with the “Believe” pop icon, 77, for years.

During an interview after her death, Cher talked about the steps she took to keep their friendship strong in more recent years, the conversations they had, and a final gift she received from Tina.

While on MSNBC, Cher explained that she made an effort to see Tina in Switzerland, where she lived.

“I started visiting her because I thought, ‘I need to dedicate this time to our friendship, so she knows we haven’t forgotten her,’” he said, according to Page six. “So we all took turns going and spending time with her and that made her happy.”

She described the visits as happy and full of laughter.

“She was having a good time even though she was very sick and didn’t want people to find out,” Cher recalled. “But I know towards the end, she told me one time, ‘I’m really ready.’ I just don’t want to put up with this anymore.’”

Cher revealed that Tina sent her off with a gift: a pair of shoes. “What kind of shoes? Tina Turner shoes,” she added.

Tina has been remembered by other stars, including Beyoncé. The cause of her death has been revealed.

Meanwhile, Cher opened up about her age after celebrating her 77th birthday shortly before losing her friend.
