Chaka Azuri is the son of a popular American soul and R&B singer, songwriter, and background vocalist. However, his date and place of birth are not available on the web. Wright, Chaka Azuri’s mother, rose to fame in the 1970s with hits like “Clean Up Woman” and “Tonight is the Night.” In addition, she also excelled in the use of the whistle register.

The sad and heartbreaking news has just hit the Internet that Wright is no longer with us. She met his sad demise on May 10, 2020. Therefore, it is a great loss to the world. She died at the age of 66, as confirmed to the media by the singer’s niece. However, the cause of death has not been made public.

Betty Wright’s husband and children
Betty married her husband King Sporty in 1985. They have 5 children: Chaka Azuri, Asha Wright, Patrice Parker, Patrick Parker and Aisha McCray. Sadly, on Christmas Day 2005, tragedy struck Wright’s family when her son Patrick Parker was shot and killed at a Christmas party in the South Florida community of Opa-Laka. Therefore, she was only 21 years old then. No arrests were ever made in the murder.
Additionally, Wright recorded the song “Dry Well” as a tribute to his son. In 2012, Wright performed the song at a rally in support of the arrest of George Zimmerman. She said at the time, via Reuters,
