Carl Weathers, best known for his role as Apollo Creed in RockyHe has died at the age of 76.
According to Deadline, Weathers’ family revealed in a statement that the actor died on Thursday, February 1. “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Carl Weathers,” the statement said. “He died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, February 1, 2024.”
Weathers’ family described him as an exceptional human being who lived an extraordinary life. “Through his contributions to film, television, the arts and sports, he has left an indelible mark and is recognized around the world and from generation to generation. He was a beloved brother, father, grandfather, partner and friend.”
