Bijou Phillips is divorcing Danny Masterson after nearly 12 years of marriage.
The 43-year-old actress, married to Danny since 2011, filed to end their relationship on Monday (September 18).
The decision came after That 70’s show The actor was sentenced to 30 years in prison after being found guilty of two counts of forcible rape earlier this year.
Danny’s wife supported him during his sentence and reports suggested that she would remain by his side while he served his sentence.
One of Bijou’s lawyers spoke about why she decided to end the relationship.

“EM. Phillips decided to file for divorce from her husband during this unfortunate time. Her priority remains her daughter,” Bijou’s attorney, Peter A. Lauzon, told TMZ.
He added: “This period has been unimaginably hard on marriage and family. Mr. Masterson was always there for Mrs. Phillips during the most difficult times in her life. “Ms. Phillips recognizes that Mr. Masterson is a wonderful father to his daughter.”
Bijou and Danny welcomed a daughter named Fianna Francis Masterson in February 2014.
Earlier this year, Bijou revealed how she reacted when Danny was convicted.
