Calvin Abueva has been banned from the PBA in 2019 after his wife made serious allegations of abuse. During a livestream on Calvin’s Instagram, Sam Abueva provided photos of the alleged CCTV video as evidence for her claims. Sam, who was 32 weeks pregnant, expressed concern about her pregnancy as a result of Calvin’s behavior.
She described situations where Calvin, when he was drunk, put his weight on her stomach, resulting in her being hospitalized for bleeding. She also described a previous incident in which she resisted Calvin’s sexual advances because she was bleeding and feared a miscarriage. These accusations surfaced when one of their children observed Calvin’s actions, causing Sam to speak up. Similarly, she recalled how her child would wake up in a panic and seek comfort from her, terrified by her father’s behavior.
