Britney Spears is setting the record straight after cutting them with her (fake) knives.
In case you missed it, the Princess of Pop, 41, sparked concern earlier this week by sharing a video of her dancing with two large knives.
According to NBC, the video prompted some fans to call police to their home to conduct a welfare check. A source told the outlet that the response to the video was “over the top” and emphasized that Britney was “fine.”
She issued her own response to the situation on Thursday night (September 28) and revealed exactly why she uploaded the clip.

“I know I scared everyone with the last post but these are fake knives my team rented from the Hand Prop store in LA,” Britney wrote alongside another video of her dancing with the controversial knives. “These are not real knives. “No one needs to worry or call the police.”
He continued, revealing that he was simply taking inspiration from Shakira, who pulled out knives during her performance at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. “I’m trying to imitate one of my favorite performers, Shakira… a performance that inspired me!!! Shout out to us bad girls who aren’t afraid to push boundaries and take risks.”
This isn’t the first time Britney has called the police to her home. Fans sent authorities to her door in January after she suddenly deleted her Instagram account. She addressed the situation at the time and explained why she was taking a break from the platform.
Before the first knife video, Britney shared what appeared to be a very pointed clip that appeared to be aimed at her ex Sam Asghari.
