Following the terrifying incident between Ian Ziering and a pair of motorcyclists, Brian Austin Green praised his 90210 co-star for how she handled the New Year’s Eve event in Los Angeles.
In an Instagram Story on Tuesday, January 2, Green couldn’t help but praise Ziering for standing up for herself during the incident. “My son, Ian Ziering, got into a fistfight on Hollywood Boulevard with five guys and beat them up,” Green said. “He did it. He did his thing. He’s a monster. He’s incredibly fit, obviously.”
Green also noted that he would never suggest anyone fight others in “this climate” but said the incident turned out “well” for Ian Ziering. “Z, I love you, brother,” Green said. “You’re a damn beast and it’s good for you.”
While driving on Hollywood Boulevard on Sunday, December 31, Ziering’s vehicle was allegedly struck by minibike riders weaving in and out of traffic. As Ziering exited his vehicle to assess the damage, an altercation broke out between him and some of the motorcyclists.
TMZ reported that the official report of the incident listed Ian Ziering as the victim. Police did not make any arrests after the event, but opened an investigation.
Ziering spoke about the situation. “Yesterday I experienced an alarming incident involving a group of people on minibikes,” he explained. “While stuck in traffic, one of these motorcyclists aggressively approached my car, leading to a disturbing confrontation.”
Ian Ziering noted that his daughter, who was with him and was visibly distressed by the situation, was not physically harmed. “I am relieved to report that my daughter and I are completely unharmed,” he continued. “But the incident has left me deeply concerned about the growing audacity of these groups in disrupting public security and peace.”

Meanwhile, Ian Ziering wrote that he remains a long-time advocate for fighting bullying and misconduct. He 90210 Star noted that the New Year’s Eve incident reinforced his belief in the importance of personal and community safety.
“We must address the underlying issues that lead to such disruptive behavior,” he said. “And ensure our streets are safe for everyone.”
Ian Ziering also urged officials and law enforcement to take decisive action against such illegality. “Provide the necessary resources to prevent future events,” he added. “I am grateful for the support of my family, friends and fans during this time. It is in challenging times like these when the strength and unity of our community is most vital. Happy new year.”
