Black Widow’s “Happy Ever After” Ending What would Marvel do if…? Episode 9 accidentally created a hole in Loki’s story. The first seven episodes what if…? The first season is an anthology series, with each episode set in a different timeline – one that differs from the main MCU timeline due to a major twist. what if…? In Episode VIII, the Observer’s observation of the multiverse inadvertently releases Ultron on all creation, and as the synth obtains the Infinity Stone and ascends to a cosmic state of consciousness, he can feel the Observer’s gaze on him and hear his narration. To save the multiverse from Ultron, the Observer has no choice but to break his oath of non-interference and summon the Guardians of the Multiverse to act as his representative.
When Ultron was defeated, what if…? In episode 9, the Observer sends the Guardians of the Multiverse back to their home world. There is one exception, however: The Chaos Black Widow, whose entire universe was wiped out by Ultron before Ultron crossed the barrier between dimensions. Natasha Romanoff refuses to enter a world where she will die alone, and accuses Watchmen of expecting her to do so with a lack of empathy. The Observer rejected the accusation, insisting that stories about beings that exist in the multiverse mean everything to him and that he gave Black Widow a happy life – sending her to a timeline. what if…? In the third episode, the black widow is lost. This Earth is also in danger of being turned in the wrong direction, as the second attempt of the Avengers – the alliance of Nick Fury, Captain America and Captain Marvel – is about to be overwhelmed. The disordered black widow intervened just in time to disarm Loki and take his staff.
But this scene really introduces a big plot hole what if…? Season 1, because Loki never had that particular scepter in that timeline. as seen what if…? Episode 3, this timeline is the time when the Avengers candidate was murdered by Hank Pym during the “Fury Week” event; God of thunder, amazing hulkAnd Iron Man 2 Everything turned out completely different. When Thor Odinson died on Earth, he was stripped of his powers. Loki followed his brother to Midgard to avenge the killer and then take over the planet. He was never thrown through the portal under the Rainbow Bridge, which means he never met Thanos and got that scepter.
It’s easy to see why what if…? Made this mistake because Dark Widow was in that version of the timeline The Avengers, the artists created a model of Loki based on the version that appeared in the classic MCU co-production. Unfortunately, they didn’t keep up with the massive change in timeline caused by the death of the Avengers in “Week of Wrath”. So they present a continuum dilemma with no easy solution.
To be fair, Marvel what if…? Produced under unprecedented circumstances, coordinating all the different animation companies must have been very difficult. An entire episode what if…? The show was closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, and the Gamora the Thanos saga has been moved into a second season as animation companies are hit hard by the virus. Given the difficulties Marvel has faced, it’s no surprise that some mistakes have been made and hopefully Marvel can avoid them in the future. what if…? Season 2.
