Early life
BJ GROOVY was born on November 18, 1998, in Ozark, Atlanta, United States. She was raised alongside her brother, Thereon Wilson, who has been featured on her YouTube channel. Furthermore, she also has a younger sister. We grew up in Clay County. He is 24 years old.
She graduated around the same time she started vlogging on YouTube. She attended the ‘John Burroughs School’ and then completed the twelfth grade at the ‘Minersville High School’. BJ GROOVY worked at ‘Walmart’ before entering the field of social media. He never liked the job, as it made him feel enslaved. Therefore, he left the job soon after. He was in high school when one of his classmates suggested that he make YouTube videos. Furthermore, he has always been appreciated for his wit and humor.
His friends often encouraged him to do ‘Vine’ videos and sketch comedy. Therefore, GROOVY finally decided to make a career as a social media influencer. Back then, GROOVY was watching a lot of videos of ‘NBA 2K’ “YouTuber” Javontay Baynes, better known as “SoLLUMINATI”. He was intrigued by the idea of entertaining people through social media platforms.

GROOVY then created his YouTube channel on May 31, 2017. He did not post any videos to the channel until the following month. The introductory video featured GROOVY showing off her dance skills. The first video on the channel to cross a million views was ‘ASKING BOUJEE’S INSTAGRAM MODEL TO PRANK MY SON’, posted in December 2018. Two of the other popular videos on the channel are ‘¿ I LIKE YOUR LITTLE SISTER’S PRANK ON BESTFRIEND? (HIT AND MISSED)’ and ‘IF YOU LAUGH IT WILL HELL YOU?? (MOUTH FULL OF WATER?)’. He also often posts videos related to basketball, his childhood sweetheart, including practice sessions and challenges with friends, to the channel. GROOVY has often collaborated with fellow Atlanta-based YouTubers RG Official and Yrndj for his videos.

BJ GROOVY began dating fellow social media star and YouTuber A’niya Lay, also known as Niya, in 2019. They began operating a joint YouTube channel titled BJ & NIYA in June 2020 and posted their first video. . in July 2020. They portrayed their relationship on the channel through vlogs and prank videos, earning over 100,000 subscribers within 3 months of posting their first video.
