Big Bang Theory Star Kate Micucci revealed that she was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. On Saturday, the actress took to TikTok from the hospital to inform her fans about her health scare.
Micucci captioned the post “An update on what I’ve been up to” and included the hashtags “imokay” and “soluky.” In the video, he explains that he already underwent surgery to remove the cancer, which fortunately doctors caught at an early stage.
“Hello everyone, this is not a TikTok, it’s a ‘Sick Tok,'” Micucci explained. “I’m in the hospital but it’s because I had lung cancer surgery yesterday. “They detected it very early.”
“It’s quite strange, because I have never smoked a cigarette in my life. So, you know, it was a surprise,” she continued. “But I also guess it happens too. And the best news is that they detected it early, they removed it and I’m fine.”

“It has been a little journey and [I’ll] It will probably progress slowly for a few weeks. But then I’ll do it again,” Micucci said, adding that he can’t wait to start painting more again.
“Why do I keep talking? …Because I’m high!” he joked, giving fans a thumbs up.
The video then showed Micucci walking down a hallway in his hospital gown, waving his IV drip and saying “Woohoo!”
“I have to say the artwork here is quite nice, yeah, yeah,” he said.

In the comments, Kate Micucci gave more details about her diagnosis. A fan asked her if she had any symptoms that would prompt her to get checked for cancer.
“I had one thing in my blood work that came back very high,” he responded, adding that he had high levels of CRP, meaning there was “inflammation somewhere.”
The inflammation led the actress to consult a preventive doctor, who performed “some examinations.” While scanning her heart, the doctor noticed a spot on her lung.
Fans flooded the comments on Kate Micucci’s post with well wishes and support for the Big Bang Theory star. Many expressed their gratitude for the actress’s early diagnosis.
