Alan Arkin has sadly passed away.
On Friday (June 30), the Oscar- and Tony-winning actor’s sons Adam, Matthew and Anthony confirmed in a statement that their father had died at the age of 89.

“Our father was a uniquely talented force of nature, both as an artist and as a man. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he was adored and will be greatly missed,” Alan’s children shared in a statement with People.
Alan has been nominated for multiple awards over the years, including four Oscars, three BAFTAs, six Emmys, eight Golden Globes, and two Tonys.
In 1963, Alan won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play for his role in enter laughing and won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role in little miss sunshine in 2006.
Alan recently starred opposite Michael Douglas on Netflix The Kominsky method.
He is survived by his wife Suzanne Newlander and their three children.
