Bhupinder Singh is an Indian actor, writer, producer, film director, model and entrepreneur who has worked in many films and TV serials in different languages. He made headlines in December 2023 after he shot dead a man over a dispute at his farm.

Bhupinder Singh alias Bhupinder Pritam Singh alias Bhupinder Singh Virk was born on Sunday, 18 May 1969 (age 54 years; as in 2023) in Kuan Kheda village in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh, India. Their zodiac sign is Taurus. Due to severe flood in his village in his childhood, he along with his family came to Kalagarh, Uttarakhand where they lived in house number A-54 of New Colony. Later he did his schooling from St. George’s College, Mussoorie. In 1990, he moved to Mumbai to pursue an acting career.

slapping a producer
On 1 July 2016, during the shooting of Hindi TV show Kaala Teeka, he asked for a makeup accessory from the makeup team who did not have the accessories and he could not arrange it as the shops were closed at that time, so he could not do it. Received the item and refused to shoot. He got angry and started misbehaving with the production team including 55-year-old production head Rajendra Upadhyay. He later slapped Rajendra after which he was banned from shooting for three months.
A few days later, he apologized to Rajendra and other individuals following which the Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) lifted his ban. Bhupinder later said that he did not slap anyone and that things were blown out of proportion; However, he was happy that the ban had been lifted.

On December 3, 2023, Bhupinder Singh had a fight with Gurdeep Singh, 60, a neighboring agricultural farm owner in his village, over a eucalyptus tree. Bhupinder reportedly wanted to cut the tree and sell it, but Gurdeep argued that the tree belonged to him and Bhupinder could not cut it. This incident enraged Bhupinder and he opened fire on Gurdeep, his sons Amrik, 25, Govind, 23, and his daughter Sukhwinder Kaur.
While Gurdeep and Amrik sustained some minor injuries, Govind Singh was seriously injured and died a few hours later.
Gurdeep Singh’s brother Jeet Singh later lodged an FIR against Bhupinder and his three associates Gyan Singh, Jeevan Singh and Gurjat Singh at Badhapur police station in Bijnor, after which they were arrested and put in jail. It was later revealed that the revolver used by Bhupinder was registered in his name in Kalagarh, Uttarakhand.
