Axl Rose is facing a lawsuit over an alleged decades-old sexual assault incident involving a former Penthouse model. Sheila Kennedy, Penthouse’s Pet of the Year in 1983, recently filed a lawsuit against the Guns N’ Roses frontman, claiming that he primitively forcibly dragged her and sexually assaulted her.
In lawsuit documents obtained by TMZKennedy alleges that in 1989, during a party, Axl tied her up and performed non-consensual anal penetration. She claims they met at a New York City club in February of that year and later attended a private meeting in her hotel suite. Kennedy claims the party was attended by people who were allegedly using drugs.
Kennedy initially accepted Axl’s advances, but the situation became distressing when she claims that he cleared the room, leaving only her, another female model, and a male acquaintance from her present. Kennedy claims to have witnessed aggressive behavior from Axl towards the other model. She later moved to another room with Axl’s friend, where the alleged assault occurred.
According to Kennedy, Axl became angry, kicked the other woman out, and then forcibly took her to his bed after finding her in the other room. She claims he tied her hands with pantyhose and sexually assaulted her without her consent, leaving her feeling overwhelmed and helpless.
Following the incident, Kennedy claims she suffered severe emotional distress, including anxiety and depression, which resembled symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder. He further claims that his personal relationships have been negatively affected. Seeking damages, Kennedy has publicly recounted the allegations against him before.
