Ashrita Toshniwal is an Indian orthodontist. She is the ex-wife of Karisma Kapoor’s alleged boyfriend Sandeep Toshniwal.

Ashrita Daga Toshniwal was born in Mumbai. She studied at Fort Convent School, Mumbai till class 10th and for her senior secondary classes, she joined St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. After this he studied Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Government Dental College and Hospital (GDCH), Mumbai. Later, he did Master of Dental Surgery- Orthodontics from Nair Hospital Dental College, Mumbai.

In 2003, she married Indian businessman Sandeep Toshniwal. The couple have two daughters, Tanya Toshniwal and Nisha Toshniwal. Later, rumors of her husband dating famous Indian actress Karisma Kapoor started creating troubles in their married life. Initially, Ashrita was unwilling to sign the divorce papers, but later, one of her friends convinced her to move on with her life. After almost 14 years of their marriage, the couple divorced in 2017. The divorce alimony amount is Rs. Rs 2 crore and a house in Delhi, and both his daughters received Rs. 3 crores each. It was also decided in the court that the custody of their children would be given to Ashrita.

In an interview, Toban Irani, lawyer of Ashrita’s husband Sandeep Toshniwal, said,
Dr. Ashrita suffers from a psychological disorder where she feels that people are doing something to her and she even becomes aggressive. We have doctor’s certificates on him, when he was diagnosed he did not get treatment. This made it difficult for (my client) Toshniwal to continue his marriage with her.

After completing Master of Dental Surgery- Orthodontics, he started working as a consultant orthodontist in Mumbai in 2002.
