- After completing his B.Sc. from Fergusson College, Pune, Arjun started working as a consultant in a multinational organization called KPMG. In 2012, he left his consulting job to pursue a career in acting.
- Arjun did his first job in a call centre.
- After Arjun decided to pursue a career in acting, he went to the Film and Television Institute of India to pursue an acting course; However, he failed the entrance examination twice. In an interview, Arjun talked about this and said that although he could not go into acting courses, he was cast in many films directed by FTII alumni. Arjun said,
Despite clearing the final round, I failed the FTII acting exam twice. At the time, I didn’t have the experience that other people bring to the table, but since FTII has a great open-door policy, I got the opportunity to act in their student films. So, I always joke that I have passed out from the FTII canteen.
- In an interview in 2017, Arjun said that although he is a fitness enthusiast, he did not go to the gym for five years and practiced his workouts at home. He said,
If you want to become an actor then don’t improve your physique. I haven’t gone to the gym for five years. But I exercise a lot.”
