Apurvi Singh Chandela was born on Monday, 4 January 1993 (age 28 years; as in 2021) in Jaipur, Rajasthan. His zodiac sign is Capricorn.
She did her schooling from Mayo College Girls School, Ajmer, Rajasthan and Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls School, Jaipur, Rajasthan. Later, he studied BA Honors in Sociology from Jesus and Mary College, Delhi University.

Apurvi started practicing shooting when she was in 11th grade at Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls’ School, Jaipur, Rajasthan. When she joined college in Delhi, she was selected to participate in the National Shooting Championship (2012), in which she won a gold medal in the 10 meter air rifle event. After this, he started shooting training from Bengaluru-based Indian shooter ‘Rakesh Manpat’. Soon, he mastered his game and won many national and international tournaments. In 2019, he was ranked the world number one 10 meter air rifle shooter.

In an interview he said,
I play every match with the intention of giving my best and I think it is normal to feel pressure to perform well. This was with me even in the first match I played, but now I have got used to it as I have participated in many competitions and gained more experience.
Later, he trained in shooting under Stanislav Lapidus and national team coach Oleg Mikhailov. In an interview he talked about his coaches. He said,
I train back home (in Jaipur) or in Bengaluru, where I have personal coaches, and when I come back with the (Indian) team, I have a good relationship with my current coach Oleg sir. He understands me well and knows what will work for me and what won’t. He has been working with us for a long time (since September 2016). So I have an understanding with my individual and national team coaches. They are aware of each other. So it works fine for me. They let me stay in my own zone because it is more important for me to work with a clear mind.”
His hand-grip in 10 meter air rifle shooting is perfect, and his master eye is also perfect. He was selected to represent India at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 under the 10m rifle air shooting category. The event was postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We have a rifle stand and I used to keep a blue towel in it. The stand had a rubber top so it helped me slide and hold the rifle. When I had to take it out, the towel helped it come out easily. I’ve been doing this for many years and I’m a little superstitious about it.
- During an interview, she told how she always came back stronger after losing the competition. He said,
I believe that ups and downs are part of every player’s journey and I always learn something from a bad match. The step back after a loss is what motivates me to move forward stronger and jump into the next match. Passion for the game is very important and winning for the country is a matter of pride.”
- Apoorvi is a spiritual person and has deep faith in God.
- In an interview, he was asked what was the reaction of his family and the people of the city on his success? He replied,
The reason I have reached here is because of my family. They have been my pillars of strength. They always encourage me and enjoy watching my matches. In fact, 12 of my family members were there to support me in Glasgow during the Commonwealth Games. My city Jaipur has given me a lot of love and I am happy to see so many youngsters shooting.
