The couple’s son Michael Anthony Hall II was born on June 1, weighing 9lbs., 7oz. in Los Angeles.
“It’s great. We’re excited. That first month of parenting is pretty wild,” Anthony shared with People. “Everything that everybody tells you is pretty true: you lose sleep and it’s the craziest time, but it’s the best time. So we’re really enjoying it.”
Anthony, who was born Michael Anthony Hall – he had to change his name when joining the Screen Actor’s Guild in 1976 – shared his excitement about continuing the legacy with his son’s name.
“I knew I did want to name him Michael and my wife also loved that name, even before she met me,” Anthony shared. “So we’ve shared that, and then we decided to go with the suffix so he’s Michael Anthony Hall II because there are a lot of juniors in the world. There’s nothing wrong with that, but we figured we wanted to keep that full name.”
Anthony and Lucia, 32, were first linked in the summer of 2016 and co-starred in the 2017 movie War Machine. The two got engaged in fall 2019 and married in 2020.
Congrats to the new parents!
