Anthony Furey, national commentator and TV presenter, offers a “fresh perspective” on the Toronto mayoral race.
Furey, current vice president of the True North Center and former senior commentary editor for the Toronto Sun, announced his plans to run for mayor of Toronto on Tuesday, June 26.
In a video introducing her campaign, Furey said: “While we all love our city, one thing more and more people convey is that Toronto feels like it’s falling apart. And as a father determined to raise his three children here, I wanted to do something about it.
Many crimes in the city are the result of drug addiction, and the solution, he says, is “treatment, treatment, treatment.”
Furey notes: “Our brothers and sisters on the street need our help. And we make our neighborhoods safer by helping them.
