Ankiti was born in 1992 (age 30 years; as of 2022), in Mumbai. He did his schooling from Podar School, Mumbai. He studied at St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai and completed his graduation in Economics and Mathematics.

livelihood
After completing her college, Ankiti joined McKinsey & Company in Bangalore as a management consultant, where she worked from 2012 to 2014. Later in 2014, she joined Sequoia Capital in Bangalore as an investment analyst. She was on a trip to Bangkok with her colleagues when she visited Chatuchak Market and noticed that local shops had no online presence. Ankiti said in an interview,
We were in this market called Chatuchak. With over 15,000 stalls and approximately 11,500 independent traders, it is the largest weekend market in the world. I was like ‘Wow, this stuff should be online!’ But they couldn’t sell online, they didn’t know how. This was the beginning.”
In 2014, she met IIT graduate Dhruv Kapoor at a party. Dhruv was working as a software engineer at Bengaluru-based gaming studio Kiwi Inc. They both decided to start their own venture and after a few months both left their jobs. Ankiti and Dhruv invested their savings and raised funds from investors to start their own company ‘Zilingo’ in 2015. In about four years, Zilingo became a unicorn business (a start-up valued at $1 billion or more). Zilingo is headquartered in Singapore, managed by CEO, Ankiti Kapoor, and has its technology office in Bangalore, managed by Chief Technology Officer, Dhruv Kapoor.

Controversy
In May 2022, Ankiti Bose was fired by Zilingo following an independent forensic audit on complaints of serious financial irregularities. The company had appointed Kroll and Deloitte to conduct a forensic audit to investigate the complaints received against them. After his dismissal, he shared a post on his Instagram account. she wrote,
I have been suspended for the last 51 days based on an anonymous whistle-blower complaint, and today I have been informed that my employment has been terminated inter alia on the grounds of ‘insubordination’.
He further wrote,
I have neither seen the reports of Kroll nor Deloitte, nor have I been given sufficient time to produce any of the documents requested by them. Any report following my termination will be scathing as it appears to be directed by the conflicted parties, and we will pursue our rights against this witch-hunt to the fullest extent of the law. I will speak on the record soon with more details about conflicts of interest in how this process was run.
