Anjali Bhardwaj is an Indian social worker and RTI activist who works towards strengthening the implementation of the Right to Information Act. She is the co-convenor of the National Campaign for Right to Information (NCPRI) and a founding member of Vigilant Citizens Organization (SNS).

Anjali Bhardwaj was born in 1973 (age 50 years; as in 2022). He did his schooling from Delhi Public School, RK Puram, Delhi. She studied Bachelor of Arts from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi and holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Management from Oxford University.

In 1999, Anjali Bhardwaj stepped into the Right to Information movement. She is the co-convenor of the National Campaign for Right to Information (NCPRI). Anjali also works for the Whistleblowers Protection Act 2011, the Grievance Redressal Bill 2011 and the Lokpal and Lokayuktas Act, 2013. Anjali is one of the founding members of Vigilant Citizens Organization (SNS) or Society for Citizens Vigilance Initiatives (SCVI). Which is a citizens’ group that promotes transparency and accountability in government functioning. Additionally, she also works with the RTI Assessment and Advocacy Group (RAAG), an organization established in 2008. Being part of this group, Anjali and other members conduct ongoing assessments of the implementation of the RTI Act. She is also a leading member of the Right to Food campaign, where she advocates for the normalization of the public distribution system, right to work, land reforms and social security for all citizens of India.

- 2009: Awarded Ashoka Fellowship for social entrepreneurs for using the RTI Act to ensure transparency, accountability and accountability in the functioning of elected representatives.
