Andrea also attended private dinners and dinners at William Cosby’s home. Her home was in Elkins Park, a suburb of Philadelphia. Then in January 2004, Andrea went to William’s house. This was after a night out with friends.
Andrea shared that after hearing her complaints about stress, William gave her three blue pills. At the time, Cosby claimed that these pills would help her relax. Cosby later clarified that these pills were the over-the-counter antihistamine Benadryl.
These pills left Andrea semi-conscious and unable to move. Later, Cosby touched her breasts and Andrea’s crotch. She also put Andrea’s hand on her penis. Additionally, Andrea claimed that she woke up around 4 am and found her clothes all over the room.
Despite this incident, Andrea returned to Ontario in April 2004 and still had contact with Cosby. Andrea even took her parents to meet William Cosby at a show in August 2004.
Then, in January 2005, Andrea filed a criminal complaint with the police against Cosby for this incident.
Much later, on December 30, 2015, authorities charged Cosby with three second-degree felonies of aggravated indecent assault. This was a result of allegations Andrea made regarding the January 2004 incident.
This also includes revelations in Cosby’s 2005 deposition in the case. Her statements came to the attention of the public and investigators only once the judge unsealed them in 2015.
Then in 2018, William Cosby was found guilty of all three charges against Andrea. The comedian was then sentenced to 3 to 10 years in state prison. However, on June 30, 2021, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court overturned his conviction.

Andrea Constand revealed in 2015 that she is actually a lesbian. This was before the national reckoning over sexual harassment and abuse that fueled the #MeToo and Time’s Up movements.
In fact, Andrea’s lawyers brought it up, noting that although Cosby admitted in his deposition that he had a talent for reading female reactions to him, Cosby didn’t realize Andrea was gay until the police told him.
