Namitha Pramod Attuchirakkal was born on Thursday, 19 September 1996 (age 26 years; as of 2022) in Kottayam, Kerala, India. Her zodiac sign is Virgo. Namitha completed her schooling at Carmel Girls Higher Secondary School in Thiruvananthapuram. Later, she pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology at St. Teresa’s College, Kochi. Fascinated by acting since childhood, Namitha started her career in the entertainment industry when she was in the seventh standard. In an interview, while recalling her childhood days, Namitha said,
Usually when new heroines are brought in for a film, they are put in front of the camera only a week after the start of shooting. Till then shooting method and other things will be taught to them through experience. Satyanank himself has said that there were no such difficulties in my case. As a child actor, I didn’t have the fear of standing in front of the camera because I acted in some serials and small films.”

It is because of her that I am what I am today. She has moulded my character, my values and my confidence. I still remember her expression when I first did my stage performance back in kindergarten. She had more dance expressions than what I could produce on my face. It continues even now. She is always one call away and gives me the best advice when in doubt. She is also my role model on how a mom should be. She makes sure that we have everything.”

In 2017, it was rumoured that Namitha Pramod was dating Dhyan Sreenivasan (actor). However, the actress’s father later refused the dating rumours and said they were good friends. In an interview, he said,
Don’t know why her name is being dragged into this. Dhyan is getting married and it’s not to Namitha. Dhyan will be getting married by April this year.”

In 2007, Namitha made her acting debut as a child actress with the television show Amme Devi in which she played the role of Devi. Subsequently, she appeared in various other television shows like Vellankanni Mathavu (2007), Ente Manasaputhri (2007), Ente Manasaputhri (2008), and Ulladakkum (2008).
In 2011, Namitha made her film debut with the Malayalam film Traffic. In 2012, she appeared in the film Puthiya Theerangal in which she played the lead role of Thamara. Subsequently, she appeared in many Malayalam films like Sound Thoma (2013), En Kaadhal Pudhithu (2014), Villali Veeran (2014), Adi Kapyare Kootamani, Kammara Sambhavam (2018), Al Mallu (2020), and Margamkali (2019).
In 2022, Namitha was featured in Nadeershah’s Malayalam film Esho in which she played the lead role of Advocate Aswathy. In an interview, she talked about the roles she played in various Malayalam films and said,
I have prepared a lot for some of my films specially for my character Thamara in “Puthiya Theerangal”. I learned swimming and I got myself tanned for the film. The film demanded my look to be different. In terms of acting, I had to work a lot for the character Maya in “Law Point”. I had to bring in lot of nuances for that character and the film itself was in a different kind of genre. I had to train myself to be Maya. Then there was “Pullipulikalum Attinkuttiyum”, Kainakari Jayasree is a dancer and I haven’t learned classical dance. So I learned dance for that. See, that’s what I love being in this industry. You get to learn so much and you play such interesting characters. I love all my characters. They all have been wonderful.

I came to know about it through social media. The rumor was that I had a fight with Kavya Madhavan during a trip to the US for Dileep Show 2017. I sent Kavya Madhavan a screenshot of the online report and asked if she had heard about the news.”

In 2017, during the shooting of the Malayalam show The Dileep Show, there were rumours that Namitha Pramod was the reason behind the fight between Malayalam actress Kavya Madhavan and Malayalam actress Dileep. However, in a media interview, Namitha denied the rumours and said,
I feel sorry for those who create such stories. I’m wondering how someone can make the news. What a concept. Come on… family is a big feeling. All of them are very close to me.”
Involvement in Malayalam actress Bhavana’s abduction and assault case
Reportedly, Namitha Pramod, along with actor Dileep, was involved in the Malayalam actress assault case. According to a media source, soon after the Malayalam actress assault case, a considerable amount of money was transferred by Dileep to Namitha’s bank account. However, in a social media post, Namitha denied the allegations and slammed the news as ‘baseless reports.’ . In the social media post, she quoted,
It is common that women in film field are rumored about, and I generally ignore them the way they deserve. I decided to upload this statement as there are certain news doing rounds, breaking the limits of all such accusations.”
