Andrea Cevichusa made her Bollywood debut with the social thriller, Anek, starring actor Ayushmann Khurrana. She is the female protagonist of the film directed by Anubhav Sinha as she plays the role of a boxer named Aido in the film released on 27 May 2022.

Anek’s director Anubhav Sinha said in an interview,
There can’t be a better choice than Andrea for the lead role in ‘Anek’. His North-Eastern roots add originality to the story. Apart from this, Andrea has sweated a lot for this character. His tough looks and amazing acting have helped him carry the character well.”
In an interview, Andrea expressed her thoughts about her Bollywood mainstream debut. He said,
When I finally realized that I had to work with creative individuals who are such big names in the industry, I think I scared myself into thinking that I wouldn’t be able to perform as well as they expected me to.
He added,
But Ayushmann and Anubhav sir created such a comfortable environment for me on the set that being a newcomer in this field I did not feel any extra pressure to overperform or do anything that was beyond my capabilities.
In contrast to the cold treatment that other debutants usually receive in Bollywood, Andrea Cevichusa was welcomed for her debut by actors like Neena Gupta, Kriti Sanon, Bhumi Pednekar, Taapsee Pannu, Huma Qureshi and Aditi Rao Hydari. He welcomed him through his Instagram post. Her first film features a rap song, sung by powerhouse singer Sunidhi Chauhan with lyrics and music by Shakeel Azmi and Anurag Saikia respectively. The rap video features Sunidhi Chauhan and Andrea, choreographed by Sneha Singh. In an interview, Andrea said,
It was a great experience because this is my first music video. With Sunidhi’s voice, the song becomes even more powerful and upbeat.”
Reportedly, Andrea has done many commercial advertisements and shows in Tollywood as well. She also appeared as a guest on The Kapil Sharma Show with her co-star Ayushmann Khurrana and director Anubhav Sinha to promote her film Anek.

Controversy
Andrea Cevichusa became a victim of racism. He revealed in an interview that he once met a woman who was not aware that Nagaland was a part of India. While narrating his story he said,
I was probably around 16 years old and I remember telling the makeup artist that I had a flight to Nagaland and I was dying to go back home because I miss being with my parents . And she was like, ‘Oh it is?’ When are you going back to your country?’ I was really surprised because she didn’t actually know that Nagaland was part of India.
He added,
It shouldn’t matter what I look like or what language I speak. I am an Indian because I was born in this country. I think it’s quite disrespectful to the fact that people have to prove that they are Indian. I am from Nagaland and I don’t think it is right to prove myself as an Indian in other cities or the rest of the country.
