In 2017, Amit Thakur was mentioned in Deepika Padukone’s leaked chat with her manager Karishma Prakash regarding drugs. During a telephone conversation initiated by a reporter, Amit initially confirmed that it was her, but when asked if he was connected to Deepika Padukone’s chat, he denied it and said,
