Just over a month after Shannen Doherty claimed she was responsible for the conflict in Delighted On set, Alyssa Milano speaks out about the comments.
As previously reported, Doherty stated that Milano was responsible for her sudden departure from the supernatural series. “The narrative that ‘I quit’ was assigned to me by other people,” explained the actress, who is currently battling cancer. “I didn’t assign it to myself.”
“I think I’m at that point in my life where I don’t want to keep lying about it, and I don’t want to keep lying about something that meant a lot to me, something that I loved doing.”
Alyssa Milano allegedly threatened the Delighted production with a lawsuit if Shannen Doherty was not fired. Buddy Delighted Star Holly Marie Combs confirmed the story.
“Because [Milano] “She went to the therapist, the mediator, or the corporate mediator, whatever their title, she built a case where she documented every time she felt uncomfortable on set.”
However, Milano remembers the situation very differently than her former co-stars. While speaking on a panel at MegaCon in late January, the actress said, “I don’t think I’m actually sad about myself or my life or how it affects my life or not.”
“I am the saddest for the fans. “What saddens me most is that a show that has meant so much to so many people has been marred by a toxicity that continues to this day, almost a quarter of a century later.”
Alyssa Milano also said she is sad because people can’t get over the drama. “It makes me sad that we can’t all just celebrate the success of a show,” she added. “[A show] “That meant a lot to all of us.”

While speaking on a separate MegaCon panel, Shannen Doherty, Rose McGowan, and Holly Marie Combs shared their thoughts on what Alyssa Milano said.
Doherty stated that she and Combs were not bad during the podcast discussion. “We actually went in and removed anything that we thought would cause more drama. We simply told the truth because the truth really matters. But we wanted to try to save you, the fans, from heartbreak as much as humanly possible.”
Doherty also said that as she fights cancer, it is incredibly important to her that the truth be told. This contrasts with the narrative others have told about her. “[Holly Marie and I] We have spoken our truths and we are defending our truths. there is no revisionist history happening.”
Combs also made a post on Instagram detailing his support for Doherty. “This is just the story [Milano] “I didn’t want people to know,” he wrote. “No one should have to lie about their own life for the comfort of another.”
McGown quickly responded to the post stating, “I love your big black heart and respect you, HMC. I love what the show has meant to people around the world. “Sometimes you have to make a mess to clean things up.”
