Scott McGillivray is a Canadian investor who rose to fame starring in the home renovation series. Rent Property. In the series, Scott advised homeowners on how to make money from the homes they bought and renovated. After the series ended in 2016, Scott and his family starred in Moving the McGillivrays.
In addition to starring in his shows, Scott has appeared as a judge on various series such as All American Handyman and Canadian Handyman Challenge. In 2020, she started a show titled Scott’s Vacation House Rules. The new program is similar to Income Property in that Scott advises homeowners on how to make money renovating homes.
Scott’s wife, Sabrina McGillivray, was initially against the idea of starring in a family reality show.

Scott met his wife Sabrina on a beach while they were on vacation. She declined the invitation to join Scott’s volleyball game, but the pair met up later in the evening and had drinks. After that, they started dating, and in 2009, Scott and Sabrina got married.
The couple have two daughters, Myah and Layla, and it’s evident that they are a very close family. Scott revealed via high definition television who takes all his girls on a date on Valentine’s Day:
“Valentine’s Day used to be all about romance, but since our two girls burst onto the scene, things have changed a bit. The champagne flutes may have been replaced with juice boxes, but it’s still a special night.”
Scott and his family starred in Moving the McGillivrays – a series about the family building their forever home. However, Sabrina wasn’t excited about joining Scott on camera because she didn’t want to let strangers into her house. Scott convinced her that her input was an integral part of the series, and she agreed.
The McGillivrays are celebrities in their own right, rarely moving through their Florida and Toronto homes without drawing attention. “Wherever you go, you see fans and [it’s awesome] see the support,” Scott said. TRNTO. “Have things changed? Yes, but we’re moving on.”

Scott was born in Ontario, Canada, as the second child of a nurse and a CPA. McGillivray’s father was always good at fixing things around the house and earned extra money doing construction work. Scott was inspired by his father, and by the time he got to college, he was pretty good with his hands.
“I’ve always liked it,” Scott said. remodeling. “Since I was a child, I was engaged in carpentry, carpentry and furniture construction as a hobby.” Several months into his time in college, Scott teamed up with his friend and bought a house. They renovated the rooms and rented them out to other students on campus.

“I have always been interested in the real estate sector and rehabilitation. Even as a kid I used to renovate things and build things. It’s rare that people take their hobby and turn it into their business.”
