Eugene Lee Yang is an American actor and filmmaker famous for being one of the four Try Guys. He got his big break when he started working for BuzzFeed in 2013. BuzzFeed hired him to explore new modes of storytelling. He then went on to create some of the most viewed videos on the BuzzFeed YouTube channel.
test boys was created by BuzzFeed in 2014 and featured Yang alongside Zach Kornfeld, Ned Fulmer, and Keith Habersberger. The show received positive feedback for its humor and made the cast famous. test boys he left BuzzFeed in 2018 and is now an independent company.

Eugene knew he was gay since he was 13 years old and other people knew he was gay, but he didn’t come out publicly until June 2019. He came out publicly because he wanted to inspire people to be proud of who they are. . He stated in an interview with MyHarto;
“In the last six months, five to ten children have approached me on the street. They look me straight in the eye and say, ‘Seeing you helped me and made me talk to my mom or dad. So they know I’m a lesbian now or they know I’m trans now…’ They don’t even know I can’t even tell on camera and for them in their faces that I’m gay was heartbreaking…”
She decided to share her sexuality to empower and inspire anyone struggling with their sexuality. Eugene did so by sharing a video on YouTube titled, I’m gay. She also shared a behind the scenes video titled Why am I coming out as gay?. He said;
“Even if it’s the smallest thing, like the label I use, I intend to find the truth and express it with complete confidence… I’m just announcing that I’m a gay filmmaker, actor, producer, viral video creator, whatever. You want to call me, but I’m gay, and that’s the perspective I’m coming from.”
