Alec Baldwin returns to the set of Oxide for another day of filming at Yellowstone Film Ranch in Montana.
The 65-year-old actor dressed in western garb was seen walking up and down a hill with the film’s production crew, as well as his assistant, as they set up shots for the film.
At one point, Alec was seen getting on a horse for a scene.
In a new report from The New York TimesNo real weapons will be allowed on the production following the tragic shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins last year, which occurred on set while she was in New Mexico.
“I have said it and I will say it every time: there are no weapons on the set,” first assistant director Gerard DiNardi told the crew on set. “There is nothing that triggers. There are many facsimiles of weapons, from rubber to replicas.”
The shop adds that the fake rounds used are made of rubber and wood, and are painted gold to mimic the real thing.
The film’s gunsmith, Andrew Wert, also shared that he brings a gun to the set, but also announces to the crew that it is a replica and will not be filmed. He reportedly redesigned the guns so they can’t fire and keeps them locked in a password-protected case between scenes.
If you missed the news, the charges against Alec in connection with Halyna’s death have been dropped.
