Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson is mourning her sister Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell. The reality star passed away after a battle with stage 4 cancer. Now, Thompson is taking to social media to remember her.
In an emotional Instagram post, Thompson shared an image of the entire family together. With the image, Thompson wrote a message about her sister’s battles. Thompson spoke about her sister’s final hours.
She wrote: “This is a post I wish I didn’t have to make. Last night we all surrounded Anna with love and let her know that it was okay for her to leave. Unfortunately, around 23:00 Anna breathed her last. Anna suffered a lot of pain last night, but now, as a family, we all know that she is at peace. “I really don’t know what to say because my heart is completely broken.”

Thompson praised Caldwell as a fighter until the end.
She continued: “Watching my 29-year-old sister battle this horrible disease last year has not been easy. Anna was a fighter and she still is. Sir, please hold her 2 babies and our family as the next few days will make all of this come true. I’m so glad you waited until I was home to take your last breath! I would have loved for you to be able to see me after I graduate from college, but I know you will always cheer me on in heaven! We will all ensure that his legacy lives on forever. And I promise to always make sure to celebrate our birthday like you were never gone! The sky looks a little different today. We will always love you Ana. You hit me hard with the only Anna of hers, but I know you are in a better place now and free of pain forever!
Caldwell asked for an open casket and for his fans to be able to attend his funeral. The family is planning several ways to memorialize Caldwell, including cremating her and dividing her ashes. Some family members plan to turn her ashes into jewelry as a memorial to her, and there are also plans to place a park bench in her honor.
