Akul Tandon, mainly known as “AkulOnTheBeat”, was born on 5 August 1992 (age 30 years; as in 2022) in New Delhi, India. He is also known by the nickname “Aaklu”.

He completed his schooling from Amity International School, Saket, Delhi and did his Bachelor of Commerce from Delhi University. Akul was fond of musical instruments since childhood. It was during his college days that he began honing his musical skills and took up music production, balancing and singing.

Akul Tandon’s first music video was “Sajna Tere Bina” which he released in 2015.
In 2018 Akul released his first music album “Laal Bindi”.
“Laal Bindi” was released on YouTube and directed by Mohit Suri became a major hit and garnered approximately 157 million views. In an interview he was asked about his music album, in which he added

Eventually, Akul released his second music album “I Love You” in 2019 and it received almost 8 million views on YouTube. In 2020 and 2021, he released back-to-back hit music albums like “Lal Chunariya”, “Faraar” and “Bahana”.
She made her Bollywood debut in 2020, working with filmmaker Mohit Suri on the title track of the film Malang. Reportedly, Akul Tandon shares a great relationship with Mohit Suri. When asked about his music album in an interview, Akul claimed
When I met Mohit Suri in October last year, he heard four of my compositions and was impressed by Laal Bindi. Sometimes I also look forward to composing songs for one of his films
Akul Tandon has also worked with Arijit Singh as a music composer on the song “Tera Hua” from the film Cash.
During an interview, while sharing his experience of working with Arijit Singh, he said,
Everyone loves them and if you’re a musician, they’ll probably be at the top of your wish list. I have very fond memories of meeting him for the first time and then recording his voice for the song. We recorded the song in his studio. He is one of our finest musicians and I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to work with him.
Along with working on his albums, Akul has also produced music with Hardy Sandhu, Prakriti-Sukriti and Shaal Mali.
