Born to a singer father and a dancer mother, she was interested in the performing arts since childhood. She grew up watching her father perform on stage and made up her mind to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. At the age of 15, Akasa Singh started his career as an actor; He played the lead role in a Punjabi daily soap. She came into limelight in 2014 with the Indian singing reality show ‘India’s Raw Star’, where she was trained by popular Indian playback singer Himesh Reshammiya. The same year, she played the role of Piya in an episode of the romance anthology series ‘Yeh Hai Aashiqui’. The episode follows an orphan named Nick, who makes a living by working in a garage and winning biking competitions, and a girl named Pia, who is kidnapped by her boyfriend and Nick in order to distract Nick from winning an upcoming race. - She is fond of street food and loves eating Panipuri. In an interview, she had claimed that she can eat Panipuri three times a day.
- She is also known by her stage name AKASA.
- While talking about her personality on stage in an interview, she revealed that while growing up with brothers, she had no idea about the code of conduct set by the society for girls. He said,
