Akarshi Kashyap was born on Friday, 24 August 2001 (age 21 years; as of 2022) in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. Her zodiac sign is Virgo. He did his schooling from Delhi Public School, Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh.
He then studied at Seth RCS Arts and Commerce College (formerly Durg University), Durg, Chhattisgarh. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree. At the age of 8, he became interested in badminton and started playing badminton. After seeing his talent his father decided to give him professional training in badminton. In 2009, she joined Ravi Shankar Stadium, Durg and trained under her coach Sanjay Mishra.

While she was in school, she participated in various inter-school badminton competitions. On 24 August 2014, she participated in the All India Sub Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu and won her first gold. At the 25th Krishna Khaitan Memorial All India Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament (2016), she won twin titles in under-17 and under-19 girls’ singles. After this he won the bronze medal in the Asia Under-15 and Under-17 Junior Championships held in Kudus, Indonesia. He won the Under-17 and Under-19 matches in the 42nd Junior National Badminton Championship, Guwahati. As of 2022, her best match was with Gayatri Gopichand in January 2018. The match lasted for 63 minutes and was held in Bengaluru. He has participated in many badminton tournaments like Sunrise All India Senior Ranking Badminton Tournament (2019), Kenya International (2020), Uber Cup (2022), Asian Games (2022) and Commonwealth Games (2022).
