After completing his primary and secondary education in his hometown, he moved to Hyderabad and enrolled at Lord’s Institute of Engineering and Technology for his higher education.

Ajay Kumar Kathurwar started his acting career in 2018 with the Telugu language romantic drama action film ‘Mehbooba’ written and directed by Puri Jagannadh. Actors Akash Puri and Neha Shetty were also with her in this film. Next, he appeared in the murder mystery ‘Ragala 24 Gantalo’. The film, directed by Srinivas Reddy, was based on Agatha Christie’s play ‘The Unexpected Guest’. Ajay got the opportunity to share the screen with actors Isha Rebba, Satyadev Kanchana, Sriram, Ganesh Venkatram and Muskaan Sethi.
The actor appeared in the Telugu film ‘Alanti Sitralu’ in 2021. He played the role of a boxer named Yash, who came to a big city to excel in the sport but was lacking due to his personal qualities. The drama film directed by C. Supreet Krishna depicts the lives of four individuals with different life goals who meet each other by chance and their lives are changed forever. Was released theatrically on 21 September 2021. According to reports, the film did not perform well at the box-office and critics also did not appreciate the film’s story, but the acting skills of the actors received appreciation from critics. A media critic reviewing the film said,
Compilations are usually a joy to watch and Alanati Sitralu is one such effort. However, the film fails to present engaging stories or tell them in an entertaining manner.
Later in 2021, the actor was announced to be a part of Sunny Komalpati’s thriller ‘Mistake’. Abhinav Sardar along with Ajay Kathurwar, Ajay Kathurwar, Tanya Kalra, Karishma Kumar, Sujeeth Kumar, Teja Ainampudi and Priya were in the lead roles. Abhinav Sardar announced ‘Mistake’ as the second production of ASP Media. The film was produced on a very large scale with huge production costs. To appeal to the growing age audience, the love component has been combined with the adventure theme. The film treats the audience with mystery, suspense, thriller, action and other commercial aspects. Actor and MAA President Vishnu Manchu launched the first look poster. He posted it with the caption,

Later in 2021, the Telugu actor appeared on screen in the Venu Mulkala directed film ‘Vishvak’, which was released theatrically on 18 February 2021.
Ajay Kumar Kathurvar appeared in the Bigg Boss Telugu digital series, Bigg Boss Non-Stop in 2022. Nagarjuna Akkineni hosted the show. The show also featured Akhil Sarthak, Mumaith Khan, Mahesh Vitta, Ashu Reddy, Ariana Glory, Bindu Madhavi, Tejasvi Madiwada, Saryu and a few others. In the OTT version, Ajay has become one of the strongest candidates of this season. His stay at the mansion has been full of surprises. She became friends with Akhil, Sravanthi, Ashu Reddy and Nataraj and Mumait Khan spoke openly about her feelings for Ajay. He went on a romantic date with Mumait on the show, which he described as his first romantic date. He was eliminated from the show on 25 April 2022.

Ajay’s co-contestant in the Bigg Boss house, Mumait Khan, took to her Instagram account after her exit from the show and shared a picture of herself with a red rose and heart sticker on Ajay Kathurwar’s photo frame. Mumait Khan expressed happiness over her brief stay at the residence in a heartfelt note. He also thanked the crew and praised his ‘favourite’ people, Ajay and Akhil Sarthak. Mumait also said that if she gets a chance, she will return to the residence.
Ajay Kumar is an actor as well as a filmmaker. He launched his production house named ‘Padmarjun’ on 25 October 2022. He took to Instagram to make the announcement about his production house for which he posted a video titled,
