In 2017, Abhijeet Ganguly had a falling out with Kapil Sharma and accused him of plagiarism. The allegations were made on the basis that Kapil Sharma had used one of Abhijeet’s jokes in the 100th episode of his show The Kapil Sharma Show. This news did not go down well with Kapil Sharma’s fans and they abused Abhijeet Ganguly on various social media platforms. In response to this, Abhijeet released a video on his YouTube channel and made fun of Kapil Sharma’s fans who abuse him.

I used to go to India Habitat Center to watch a lot of theatre, one day I accidentally saw Abish Mathew’s performance and I was stunned. I enjoyed the show so much that I mailed the show organizer asking if I could try my luck in it. Surprisingly, he wrote back inviting me for an open mic and thus this journey began.”
- He first started performing his stand-up shows on YouTube. Abhijeet started uploading short sets of his shows on his YouTube channel. On 27 November 2014, he uploaded his first video ‘Indian Mid Twenties Issues, Parents and Marriage’ on YouTube.

If I look at a video I uploaded three years ago and don’t think I need to improve, then I’m not improving my skills. And the day you stop getting better at your art, that’s the day you’ve lost it.”
