Abdullah Siddiqui started his music career at the age of 11. He started by making electronic music in English. Their first song was quite ambitious with some enlightening and encouraging lines. Everything started at his parents’ house, when he was sitting in front of an old and huge computer downloading some very rudimentary music software. He kept pressing different buttons in an attempt to make it sound like music. After years of practicing and creating music, Abdullah decided to make his musical debut in 2014 with the song Fiction. He released his song on Facebook, SoundCloud and YouTube. Talking about his passion for music since childhood, he said,
I have always been associated with music. I have loved singing since a young age and learned to play the guitar when I was nine years old. At the age of 11, I started producing music electronically and since then, I have been working on developing my sound as an artist.
The young musician took to his Instagram to announce his participation in Coke Studio Pakistani Season 14 as an associate producer. He used the platform to reveal about his work in collaboration with producer Zulfikar Jabbar Khan (Zulfi). The Pakistani television program features studio-recorded musical performances by established and emerging artists from various international music franchises. The show promotes Pakistan’s multiculturalism by inviting artists from different regions and different languages to collaborate musically with music of their choice including traditional classical, folk, Sufi, qawwali, ghazal, hip hop, rock and pop music. . The fourteenth season of the music show began airing on 9 January 2022. Some of the local artists featured in the show included Kashmir (‘Trouble), Aaroh (‘Main Nahi Manta), The Jupiters (Dosti), Arif Lohar. and Meesha Shafi’s ‘Alif Allah’ and Naseebo Lal and Talal Qureshi’s ‘Aag’ among others. Siddiqui expressed his gratitude and said
I will be forever grateful to Zulfi for trusting me with my brainchild and taking me on the biggest artistic journey of my life so far. And I can’t wait for you all to hear these songs.” The Magenta Cyan hitmaker also shared that she got to sing a song with the best collaborator anyone could ask for. This was and always will be a major highlight for me. It was infinitely rewarding to see people working tirelessly and using all their talents to help present my work at a capacity I had never imagined.
He has worked with singer Meesha (Shafi) for some projects. Among other things, Abdullah Siddiqui is an associate song producer for Coke Studio 14 (2022). However, it was Nescafe Basement’s ‘Resistance’ that gave the talented musician his big break. He also bridged the gap between the mainstream and underground music worlds by collaborating with Meesha Shafi on the unseen single ‘Magenta Cyan’ from his second solo album. They collaborated on the direction of the song and Abdullah had Misha in mind from the beginning. Since then, both have worked together on many occasions. Abdullah Siddiqui claimed that his relationship with Meesha Shafi taught him a lot. He is very grateful to her for teaching him a lot. She was one of the people who first introduced him to Urdu singing. During an interview, while talking about his experience of working with him, he said,
I have been working extensively with Meesha (Shafi) over the last few years, we have worked together a lot. That experience and relationship has had a huge impact on me personally and also on my work and craft,” Abdullah confessed. “In terms of the Coke Studio experience, I was actually present on set for the first time – I had never seen anything like that before. It was really lovely to experience his energy as an artist. Soon after the shoot, we got a chance to perform together in a live concert. The kind of energy I saw him giving on the set, I got the opportunity to bring the same energy on the channel.
His anthem ‘Kingdom’ ft Altamash Saver (Takatak), which he composed for Pakistan Super League (PSL) Twenty20 team Peshawar Zalmi (2021), also made an impact. The presence of Esra Biljic, Mahira Khan, Hania Amir and Ali Rehman in the music video increased the popularity of the song. The music producers and singers of the Pakistan Super League anthem for 2022 are Atif Aslam and Aima Baig.

He felt that it was refreshing to see their passion for music in an industry where many people feel burned out. The actual process itself was exhausting for everyone involved, but it was so worth it, and I will always be grateful for that experience.

I enjoy and respect LSA, and I believe they are mostly on the right track, but they need some restructuring. There is no point in putting any music category up for public voting because there are not enough voters who are consuming all types of music, so the winners are usually the ones with the most recognizable names. I also think that removing the categories of Best Album of the Year and Best Music Video Director was not a good decision as both albums and music videos are dying arts that are in dire need of revival.
