Kate Middleton and Prince William ’embarrassed’ by Photoshopped Christmas card

Following the release of their annual Christmas card, Kate Middleton and Prince William are unhappy with the public’s initial reaction to the photo.

A source close to the royals told Us Weekly that they are embarrassed that people think their Christmas card is heavily edited. They’re also just as surprised as everyone else by the initial reaction to the photo.

Kate Middleton and Prince William posted their family portrait last weekend on their Instagram account. The photograph shows the couple with their young children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. “Our family Christmas card for 2023,” the couple declared in the caption of the post, using a heart and Christmas tree emoji.

Immediately after the photo was posted, Instagram users had some thoughts. “Photoshop failed!!” declared one user. “There is an extra leg in this photo!!! How come the photographer didn’t notice? My God.”

Another user posted: “He’s hitting JC Penny! “They are just like us!!!!”

Along with Kate Middleton and Prince William, King Charles III and Queen Camilla also posted their vacation photo. Inside it was written: “I wish you a very Merry Christmas and New Year.”

The title of the post reads: “This year’s official Christmas card features a photograph of the King and Queen taken in the Throne Room of Buckingham Palace on coronation day by Hugo Burnand.”

Kate Middleton and Prince William’s Christmas Card Photographer Also Speaks Out

Meanwhile, the New York Post reports that Kate Middleton and Prince William’s Christmas card photographer is speaking out after criticism. There was also talk of Prince Louis’ failure in Photoshop. This is the prince who is supposedly missing a finger in the final photo.

Photographer Josh Shinner took to Instagram to share what it was like taking photos of the Royal Family. “It was a great pleasure to photograph the Prince and Princess of Wales and her family for this year’s Christmas portrait,” he said. “Without a doubt one of the most relaxed and fun sessions I’ve ever had, and now I have a whole new set of jokes that are on my level thanks to the kids…”

In a separate post, Shinner showed a sketch of the final photograph. He also revealed how he wanted to pose the family. “I stopped trying to draw faces a long time ago, and I felt that trying to draw @princeandprincessofwales was something that could only end in dismal failure, but this was the starting point for the final composition…”
