ABC News’ Rob Marciano Reportedly Fired After ‘Heated Screaming Fight’ With Producer

Following the news that meteorologist Rob Marciano was fired from ABC News, more details are emerging about his downfall.

Sources close to the situation told the Daily Beast that Marciano had anger and behavioral issues. The final straw was when he allegedly got into a “heated shouting match” with the Good morning america producers recently.

Insiders stated that fellow ABC News meteorologist Ginger Zee had heard details about the outburst and reported Rob Marciano to network management.

Given a history of behavioral complaints and the recent shouting match, the network decided enough was enough.

After news broke about Rob Marciano’s firing, The New York Post reported that he had “butted heads” with Zee over the years. Their working relationship was not good and they did not collaborate.

“I think she brought out the worst in him,” a source told the news outlet. “I’m not going to give him a pass.”

Marciano was at ABC News for 10 years before his firing. He previously worked at Entertainment tonight and CNN.
