Sarah Michelle Gellar recently criticized host Howard Stern for his remarks about her marriage to actor Freddie Prinze Jr. Stern mocked Freddie while appearing on The Howard Stern Show in 2001 for marrying Sarah Michelle Gellar at the age of 25. Stern made a bet with the actor, adding, “While Freddie coyly stated that he was ” sure (the marriage) will continue,” he bet with him.
In about ten years, you’ll find me and say, “Howard, I owe you money.” Sarah and Freddie got married on September 1, 2002, and on their 20th wedding anniversary, Sarah posted photos to Instagram from Prinze’s interview with Howard Stern, jokingly calling Stern questioning Freddie about their marriage years ago.
Along with the announcement, Sarah added an identical screenshot to her Instagram story and mentioned Howard Stern in the description:

On September 1, 2002, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. They got married in Mexico. This Thursday, on their 20th wedding anniversary, Gellar posted a stunning photo from their wedding on Instagram with the caption: “20”. In 1997, on the set of I Know What You Did Last Summer, Prinze and Gellar met. They began dating three years later and married shortly after.
In a March 2021 interview with People magazine, Sarah Michelle Gellar described the beginning of their relationship:
“The previous meal was a lot. We were supposed to go with someone else, but he didn’t show up, so we decided to go anyway. At dinner, it was just the two of us who struck up a conversation. We had a long car ride and a long dinner, and the events went on.”
Prince gently added that he didn’t want to date anymore after that night. I said:
“I knew we were going to get married and one day I would propose to her. I don’t know when or how that would happen.”
Freddie Printe Jr. was asked in a 2020 interview with Entertainment Tonight about his long marriage to Sarah Michelle Gellar. In response, the Scooby-Doo actor quipped that the best advice in marriage is to never share a toilet. He joked:

The couple has two children: 12-year-old Charlotte Grace and 10-year-old Rocky James.
