What do you get when you walk away from a popular vampire-themed TV show? You get a better show with better drama and better effects of course! that’s what happened with The originals, the show that started in 2013 on The CW. This one centers on a group of vampires touted as the original vampires who walked the earth. So naturally they belong to a single family.
But you know how families can get there. There’s drama, there’s parental angst, and there’s definitely sibling rivalry. But there is also the care of certain favorites in the family, as well as territoriality with relationships and “work problems.” The originals I definitely have all of this at my fingertips. Also, there are witches and werewolves in the narrative too! And they do not exist as added elements of the series. They are an integral part of the story. In fact, the show actually revolves around a hybrid character who is also part werewolf and part vampire. Exciting, isn’t it? Also, the stories revolve around New Orleans, so that colorful city gives more shade to the stories here.
Since the show ended in 2018, you can still stream it online. Find it on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Google Play or Direct TV. The closest TV series we can think of when you say The Originals is Angel. Like the former, the latter show is also a spinoff of a teen-themed vampire series. Angel was a character in the ‘90’s hit Buffy the Vampire Slayer but he got a spin-off series to pursue his interesting character.
This adult-oriented show was able to center on a 200-year-old vampire, Angel, cursed with something unusual: a soul. Since he killed people left and right during his previous life, the new soul provided him with a conscience. Now this awareness is a drag on him, as it makes him feel things that he didn’t really feel before, namely guilt. As a result, he ended up in Los Angeles and doing a job that is more beneficial than harmful to everyone. And in order to have the perfect cover for his vampire persona, he works as a private investigator. He fights from time to time with other paranormal creatures that come from a demonic law firm.

If you want to take a break from watching too many vampire shows set in America, cross the border and watch one in Toronto, Canada. That is blood tiesthe 2007 2-season show was also based on a best-selling book series written by Canadian writer Tanya Huff.
The premise of this one finds a grown woman in the lead. Her name is Vicki Nelson and she used to work as an active duty police officer until her eyesight began to fail. She then opted for a career change and found work as a private investigator to help people in need. With this job, she crosses normal and paranormal work as her co-worker is a 400+ year old vampire named Henry. The good thing about Henry is that he is descended from royalty; Her father is Henry VII but he is illegitimate. An interesting association, huh?

Human being
There are two versions of Human being now available on streaming media. Both are equally worth seeing. What you will like depends on the type of humor you want to look for here.
Human being is originally a British television series featuring a “flat share story” common in their culture. This means that the humor or drama of the story arises from the lives of the roommates. In other parts of the world, we call these roommates.
Now, what’s so special about these roommates? Simple: one is a vampire, one is a werewolf, and the other is a ghost. In addition to asking how their landlord overlooked those aspects of these tenants, ask how this series will turn out if all three characters try to deal with their individual personalities while trying to lead “normal lives” as humans. That’s an interesting premise that will definitely produce some great story arcs.
The BBC original ran from 2008 to 2013 with 5 seasons and two main story locations: Bristol in England and Barry’s in Wales. The North American version of the series aired between 2011 and 2014 with the same references to the characters but presenting their stories with an American twist, as it takes place in Boston, Massachusetts. That lasted 4 seasons.

Did you miss watching the original series where The originals spun off from? Then go back there and trace vampire Diaries! However, this one doesn’t have many adults arguing and hitting each other. It’s the teenagers doing that to each other here.
Primarily, this is based on a series of young adult novels written by LJ Smith. Popular books featured a teenage girl as the central character; Her name is Nina. Her story is contained in a mysterious little town in Virginia called Mystic Falls. It’s basically a love triangle, first of all, as Nina fell in love with two brothers in this town. But the two brothers are both vampires. And this is where their bloody stories take off. The love triangle is now complicated by sibling rivalry. Really intense times!

True Blood
If you’re looking for a vampire TV series that isn’t normally limited to your world, but rather resonates more with ours, then go for it compulsively. True Blood. The interesting premise of this original HBO series focuses on the coexistence of vampires with humans. But it’s not presented in the usual paranormal or supernatural way.
This has all the hallmarks of a fender series. There are humans and vampires who advocate for equal rights, have anti-discrimination policies, and stop violence against minority populations. But the subject of this unique defense is the world of vampires. See, in this series, vampires have already “exited” and can now exist with humans without being seen as a threat. Advanced Japanese technology allowed them access to synthetic blood to quench their eternal hunger. But of course, knowing vampires and humans, some of them don’t want vampires to integrate peacefully into society. And this is where the series unfolds more conflicts from that given premise.

Vampires tend to like to live or hide in small towns, don’t they? Or they are drawn to travel to small towns that also attract other supernatural or paranormal creatures like themselves. Such is the plot of the 2017 series called midnight texas.
If the stories and narrative styles here look familiar, it’s because they come from the same author of the book who wrote the series where True Blood was adapted from. The main difference in this series is that he focuses on building his own chosen family, just like The originals also featured this story arc.
In midnight texas, the central figure here is a male psychic who ends up living in a paranormal city at the suggestion of his grandmother’s ghost.
