Fox News is well-known for its right-wing and conservative slant to reporting the news. Because of this, it might be surprising to know that it has a great many female news anchors. Some of these news anchors are minorities, many of them are highly educated, and some of them even have liberal political leanings.

10. Julie Banderas
Julie Banderas is a rotating anchor for Fox Report and America’s News HQ. She used to host Fox Report Weekend. She has been working with Fox News since March 2005, when she started as a general assignment reporter. In 2006, she had an infamous on-air clash with Shirley Phelps-Roper, who was the former spokesperson for the Westboro Baptist Church.
Banderas has a bachelor’s degree from Emerson College.
Before working at Fox News, Banderas worked for WLVI-TV in Boston, WHSV-TV in Harrisonburg, Virginia, WBRE-TV in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, WFSB-TV in Hartford, Connecticut, and WNYW in New York City.
In 2004, she received the Emmy “Outstanding Single Newscast” Award for her coverage of the Republican National Convention.
9. Laura Ingraham
Laura Ingraham is the host of The Ingraham Angle on Fox News. She also hosts the nationally syndicated radio show, The Laura Ingraham Show. Additionally, she is the editor-in-chief of LifeZette.
Laura Ingraham is known for her far-right views, and she is extremely controversial. At various times, she has been boycotted by sponsors. Yet, she has impressive education, experience, and credentials.
Ingraham earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College and a law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.
In the late 1980s, she worked as a speechwriter in the Reagan administration. After she graduated law school, she was a judicial clerk in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals in New York and later for the United States Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. After that, she worked as an attorney for the law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
Ingraham is the author of a number of books, including The Hillary Trap: Looking for Power in All the Wrong Places, The Obama Diaries, Of Thee I Zing, and Billionaire at the Barricades.
8. Heather Childers
Heather Childers is one of the co-hosts of Fox & Friends First, which is the early morning news show on that channel. She came to Fox News as a general assignment reporter in the fall of 2010. In August of 2011, she became an anchor on America’s News Headquarters.
Childers has a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to coming on Fox News, she worked at WCNC-TV, WFXL (a Fox affiliate in Albany, Georgia), WLOS-TV (an ABC affiliate in Asheville, North Carolina), and News 14 Carolina.
She has received many accolades, including the Best Female News Anchor and Best Documentary Readers Choice Award from the National Academy of Television Journalists, The Best News Anchor and Best Newscast from the Albany Herald, the Best Female News Anchor from Golden Viddy, Miss Charlotte Mecklenburg, and she was the Miss North Carolina Preliminary Winner.
Childers had to take a break from Fox & Friends starting in June of 2018. She needed surgery to correct a condition known as cervical stenosis with myelopathy, which means that her spinal cord was being compressed inside her neck. Apparently, this condition began after she was involved in a car wreck when she was 16 years old. She returned to work in September of 2018.
7. Harris Faulkner
Harris Faulkner is the anchor of the Sunday edition of Fox Report, one of the co-anchors of Outnumbered, and the host of her own show, Outnumbered Overtime. In 2016, Nielson ranked Outnumbered as one of the top ten Cable News Programs. Faulkner has received 6 Emmy Awards, including the 2005 Emmy for Best Newscaster and Best News Special.
She is the daughter of a United States Army officer and Army Aviator, Lieutenant Colonel Bob Harris. Her father served three tours in Vietnam, and Faulkner lived in many different places throughout her life, including Stuttgart, Germany.
Faulkner has a B.A. in mass communication from the University of California, Santa Barbara. In addition to her work at Fox News, she is a motivational speaker, writer, and philanthropist. She is involved with the Green Beret Foundation and the Navy Seal Foundation. She is also active in raising awareness and funds for breast cancer. For her humanitarian efforts, she has received the Amelia Earhart Pioneering Lifetime Achievement Award.
Her latest book, 9 Rules of Engagement – A Military Brat’s Guide to Life and Success, just came out in June of 2018.
6. Uma Pemmaraju
Uma Pemmaraju is the anchor of America’s News Headquarters with Um Pemmaraju. Pemmaraju joined Fox News Channel in October of 1996, and she was part of the original team. In her time at Fox News, she has interviewed a number of prestigious people, including the Dalai Lama, astronaut Buzz Aldrin, Joel Osteen, Carly Simon, Donald Trump, Whoopi Goldberg, and Sarah Palin.
In addition to working at Fox News, Pemmaraju also reports for Bloomberg News.
Prior to starting at Fox News, Pemmaraju worked at KENS-TV, the San Antonio Express-News newspaper, KTVT-11 in Dallas, WMAR-TV in Baltimore, WLVI in Boston, and WBZ-TV in Boston.
Pemmaraju was born in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, India, but she grew up in San Antonio, Texas. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. During her studies, she participated in an exchange program in which she attended American University where she studied international relations. She has also taught journalism at Emerson College and Harvard University.
Pemmaraju was named “Boston’s Best Anchor” by Boston magazine in 1996 and 1997. She has also received numerous other accolades including numerous Emmy awards, the Texas AP Award for reporting, the Woman of Achievement Award from the Big Sisters Organization of America, and the Matrix Award from Women in Communications.
5. Ainsley Earhardt
Ainsley Earhardt is the co-host of Fox & Friends. In January of 2019, Fox & Friends had celebrated 207 months as the No. 1 cable news program in its timeslot. Earhardt joined Fox & Friends on February 29, 2016. According to Nielson, when she joined this show, its ratings went from 1.1 million to 1.6 million. Recently, Earhardt sat down for exclusive interviews with President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, and Vice President Mike Pence.
Earhardt started college at Florida State University and was a biology major. She then transferred to the University of South Carolina and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) in Journalism.
Earhardt started working at Fox News in 2007. That year she also received University of South Carolina’s Young Alumni Award. She was also named “Outstanding Young Alumna” for 2007 by the School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
She has written two children’s books, Take Heart, My Child and Through Your Eyes. She also wrote the memoir, The Light Within Me.
4. Shannon Bream
Shannon Bream is currently the anchor of Fox News @ Night with Shannon Bream. She is also the network’s Chief Legal Correspondent and the host of Livin’ the Bream. She co-anchored live coverage of former FBI director James Comey’s testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee and contributed to the live coverage of the 2016 presidential election.
Bream has a degree in Business from Liberty University and went to law school at Florida State University. She also interned with Bill McCollum when he was a congressman from Florida. While she was in law school, Bream won the Miss Florida USA pageant and placed fourth in the Miss USA 1995 pageant. She graduated from law school with honors, and in 2013, she became the first ever female keynote commencement speaker at Liberty University.
After graduating from law school, Bream started her career as a lawyer. She then began to pursue a career in television news. Prior to working for Fox News, she was the evening and late-night news reporter for WBTV, a CBS affiliate. She then worked as a weekend anchor and covered general assignments for WRC-TV, an NBC affiliate in Washington D.C.
Bream joined Fox News in November 2007, and she is based in their Washington D.C. bureau.

Martha MacCallum has been with Fox News since 2004. She is currently the host of The Story with Martha MacCallum. She has interviewed many important people, including President Barack Obama, General David Petraeus, John McCain, Chris Christie, and Laura Bush. She has covered the 2004, 2008, 2012, and 2016 presidential elections. She also co-anchored the coverage of the visit of Pope Francis to the United States and the funeral of Pope John Paul II.

Maria Bartiromo is currently the host of Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo, Mornings with Maria, and Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street on Fox News. She is also the Global Markets Editor at Fox Business Network and hosts Fox Business Global Power Players segments.
Bartiromo has a long and illustrious career. Prior to working at Fox News, Bartiromo worked at CNBC and CNN. She is the first woman to report live from the New York Stock Exchange in the late 1990s. She has appeared on numerous television shows including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Real Time with Bill Maher, and The Colbert Report. She also was a guest host on Live with Regis and Kelly.
When she reported from the New York Stock Exchange, she got the nickname “Money Honey,” which she now uses as a brand name for a line of children’s products, which includes toys, puzzles, and coloring books designed to teach children about money.
Bartiromo has anchored television coverage of New York City’s Columbus Day parade since 1995, and she was the Grand Marshall in 2010. She also appeared in several documentaries and films.

1. Dana Perino
Dana Perino hosts The Daily Briefing with Dana Perino on Fox News. She is also a political commenter for Fox News and is the co-host of the talk show, The Five. In addition to her work with Fox News, she is a book publishing executive at Random House.
From 2007 to 2009, Perino served as the White House Press Secretary under President George W. Bush and was the second female who served in that role. She also spent seven years in the Bush Administration working at the Justice Department and the Council of Environmental Policy. In June of 2010, she was appointed to serve on the Broadcasting Board of Governors by Barack Obama where she remained until December of 2012.
Perino has a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication with minors in political science and Spanish. She also has a master’s degree in public affairs from the University of Illinois Springfield. While she was in graduate school, she was a daily reporter covering the Illinois Capitol for a CBS Affiliate, WCIA.
Perino is also the president of Dana Perino and Company, and she is the founder of Minute Mentoring, which is a women’s leadership program to foster the next generation of female leaders. Her other philanthropic activities include working for global maternal health and child development through the One Campaign and Mercy Ships and helping American veterans suffering from PTSD through Companions for Heroes.
