But a missing mutant – Davis Cameron, aka Slipstream – might be the hero they need to save the day.
first appeared in X-Men #6 Created by Chris Claremont, Salvador Larroca, Liquid!, and Tom Orzechowski, Slipstream is a human mutant with the ability to teleport /Shia mixed race. These manifest as “twisted waves,” a nod to his surfing roots. As allies of the Extreme Sanctions Enforcer, Davis and his sister Heather (aka the Lifeguard) spent a brief time on the team before falling back into relative obscurity.
But in X-Men: Endgame Created by Claremont, Sean Chen, Sandu Florea, Ian Hannin and Dave Sharpe, Slipstream plays a more important role than ever. In fact, this may make him one of Krakoa’s saviors.

Slipstreams hold huge potential
in alternate timeline X-Men: Endgame, Slipstream is controlled by Cassandra Nova, Professor X’s sister, and appears to be reaching its full potential. With his warp waves now developed enough to travel interstellar distances, Davis has the potential to become one of the most powerful mutants in the X-Men canon. Earth-616’s Slipstream may not currently have the same level of capabilities, but many mutant abilities are developed during times of stress – and for the X-Men, there’s nothing more stressful than facing possible extinction.
Slipstream isn’t the most famous of the X-Men, or even a particularly respected one, but his power potential can’t be ignored.
A possible future is seen in Rise of the X Force #1 Research authored by Kieron Gillen, RB Silva, David Curiel and Clayton Cowles confirms that many mutants The actual escape from Earth was to escape the clutches of Orchis, and high-energy slipstreams may have played an important role in this escape. With the ability to travel across galaxies, Davis could easily transport the X-Men to their Shi’ar allies on alien worlds, or transport them closer to home on Arakko. He could even bring in a reinforcements to tip the battle in favor of his fellow Sons of the Atom.
