Zia Modi was born on Thursday, 19 July 1956 (age 67 years; as in 2023) in Mumbai. His zodiac sign is Cancer. Jiya Modi did her early education from Elphinstone College, Mumbai, Maharashtra. He studied law at Selwyn College, Cambridge, England, and received an LLM degree from Harvard Law School, Massachusetts in 1978.
In 1979, soon after completing her college degree in the US, Zia passed the New York State Bar Examination, after which she became qualified as an attorney in New York State. She is the founder and partner of AZB & Partners, a legal business enterprise.

In 2004, AZB & Partners started with 12 lawyers. It is considered one of the largest law firms in India with 400 legal professionals and multiple offices in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Pune.
