Yvan Buravan was a famous R&B singer and songwriter from Rwanda. Yvan Buravan is widely known for his songs ‘Tiku Tiku’, ‘Garagaza’, ‘With You’, ‘Gusaakaara’, ‘Heaven’ and ‘Bindimo’.
Early life and childhood
Yvan Buravan was born in Rwanda on April 27, 1995. His full name was Yvan Dushime Burabyo. His astrological sign was Taurus. Buravan had African nationality and followed the Islamic religion.
Regarding his family origin, his father was a harmonica player and poet. He grew up with his five siblings, but his names are unknown. Apart from that, Buravan never revealed information about his mother and other family members.

Speaking of his academic training, at Le Per Prince, Yvan concluded his primary education. After that, he went to secondary school in La Colombier and Amid Des Enfants.
Furthermore, he enrolled at the University of Rwanda (CBE) to continue his education. She had a bachelor’s degree in business technology and communication.
Career and professional life
Talking about his career, he launched an astonishingly successful solo career at the age of 21, producing hit song after hit song. In 2016, she released her debut single “Bindimo,” followed by “Malaika,” which went down in history.
Buravan released his first album, titled “The Love Lab,” in 2018 as a one-man act. The sound of his album has been characterized as that of a world-class Afro, RnB, pop and soul singer.

Additionally, Buravan released his second album, “Twaje,” in 2021. The music on this CD combines ear-pleasing instruments with soft melodies to create artistic works that are creative, original, and deeply moving.
Buravan has focused his music on themes of love, nationalism, culture, peace and reconciliation under the motto “sing to express, not to impress.”
He was primarily motivated by the love of his family and the strength and progress demonstrated by his nation following the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi.

The RFI PRIX DECOUVERTES 2018 award went to Yvan Buravan. Radio France International (“RFI”), in collaboration with UNESCO, the Institut Français and the Organization Internationale de la Francophonie (“OIF”), has awarded this award.
Yvan Buravan was nominated for the ATA (African Talent Awards) 2019.
In 2019, the Agahozo Shalom Village award for “Opus Celebrity of the Year” was one of the accolades he garnered from locals.

Regarding his love life, Yvan Buravan never shared any information about his relationship or love life. It seems that Buravan was a reserved and quiet person who did not like to share his personal details with the media.
Since there was no evidence of his marital status, we can assume that Buravan could be single and unmarried at the time of his death.
Death
In August 17, 2022Yvan Buravan, then 27 years oldHe died peacefully from pancreatic cancer. Buravan fought bravely against his illness and persisted till the end.
On August 23, 2022, a memorial ceremony was held at Camp Kigali and hundreds of fans attended to pay their respect. He was buried on August 24, 2022.
