  • Yashasvi Jaiswal was born on December 28, 2001 in Suriya, Uttar Pradesh to Kanchan Jaiswal, a housewife, and Bhupendra Jaiswal, a small hardware store owner.
  • Jaiswal was the fourth child in a family of six siblings and had a humble beginning.
  • At the age of 11, he moved to Mumbai, Maharashtra, with no possessions, friends or family. Big dreams and passion for cricket are enough to feed him.
  • Jaiswal lived in tents for three years and did manual jobs while playing cricket. There were days when he was hungry and went to sell panipuras for a living.
  • After three years of struggle, Jaiswal’s talent was recognized by a cricket coach, Jwala Singh, who offered him a place to live and became his legal guardian and advisor.
