In December 2023, when there was an online feud going on between Yanika’s husband Vivek Bindra and popular Indian motivational speaker Sandeep Maheshwari, a video went viral in which Vivek was allegedly seen beating his wife Yanika. After marriage on 6 December 2023, the couple was living in Supernova West Residency, Sector 94, Noida.

On 7 December 2023, just a day after his wedding, Vivek reportedly got into a verbal altercation with his mother Prabha, when Yanika tried to defuse the situation; However, Vivek locks Yanika in a room and verbally and physically assaults her and also breaks her phone. Yanika’s brother Vaibhav Kwatra had lodged an FIR at Sector-126 police station in Noida on 14 December 2023, in which he claimed that Yanika had injury marks all over her body and her ears were also damaged, due to which she Couldn’t hear. ,

The FIR was registered under sections 323 (causing hurt), 504 (insulting to provoke breach of peace), 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) and 427 (mischief) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Later Yanika was taken to Kailash Deepak Hospital in Delhi for treatment. Assistant Police Commissioner (Noida) Rajneesh Verma said they will conduct a thorough investigation before taking any action.
