In 2016, xQc began his career as an Overwatch player. Overwatch (2016) is a team-based multiplayer first-person perspective video game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. In Datzit Gaming, a Montreal-based semi-professional e-sports organization, xQc played as the “main tank”. On August 13, 2016, Datzit Gaming won the DreamHack Montreal 2016 Overwatch tournament.

- On November 17, 2017, Lengyel’s account was suspended mid-match from a competitive Overwatch game for violating Blizzard’s terms of use. His account was suspended for 72 hours for “abuse of the reporting system”. Apparently, Lengyel had reported other players for illegal reasons.
- In December 2017, he was suspended for seven days by Blizzard for intentionally losing a game on Overwatch’s Competitive Play mode. Later, xQc uploaded a YouTube video to his channel titled “Suspended: My Apology” to publicly apologize for his behavior.
- xQc received a 15-day suspension on August 11, 2018, for violating the abusive chat policy. He was repeatedly reported by teammates for this crime. Although the Overwatch World Cup issued an official warning for suspension, he was allowed to play. The video featured obscene scenes, which were presented in such a way that it appeared innocent. xQc claimed that it was merely a prank.
- In February 2020, xQc was banned from Twitch for 3 days for showing nudity while playing the game ‘Connect Four’. Reportedly, during live streaming on Twitch, an AI appeared on the screen in the form of a completely naked woman.
- On June 12, 2020, xQc was banned from Twitch for one day for viewing explicit content, including a video of two gorillas having intercourse. xQc then posted a tweet claiming that it was an accident.
