Wynonna Judd, daughter of Naomi Judd, spoke about her mother’s death on CBS’s Sunday Morning in April of this year. She said that she is still angry after her mother’s death and that feelings will continue for a while. Wynonna’s anger stems from her inability to help her mother.
She stated the following:

When asked about the events that followed her mother’s death, Wynonna recounted how she rushed home to visit her mother after her sister Ashley discovered the body. She added that she said goodbye to her mother at the hospital and she didn’t know what to do next.
Wynonna said she sensed her mother’s presence and also discussed her relationship with Naomi, saying:
“We were very close, and then she got mad at me… We disagreed, separated, and then went back to hug each other and cry. It is quite difficult. We tried so hard, and these are my tears because I know we tried and we did a great job. “Most of the time.”
She mentioned that a person loses a lot when they lose their mother, even though these are all emotions from the past. Wynonna went on to say that her mother once took her hand and told her that her life was better because of her and that those memories are now coming back to her.

Naomi Judd died at the age of 76 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
